Michele R. Colson, AMS®, CMCA®, PCAM®

Community Manager

VSA Association Management, LLC


Michele Colson is the Community Manager for VSA Association Management, LLC.  A locally owned and operated company, VSA Association Management specializes in Condominium, Towne home and High Rise community management.  She is also the President of the Owners Associations for three timeshare resorts currently managed by VSA Management Corp.  She began in the association management industry in 1996 and specializes in the property management, renovation and reserve-study arenas.

Mrs. Colson earned a Master of Business Administration Degree from Saint Leo University in 2004 and the Virginia Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) license in 2012.  She has been registered Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) since June 2007 and an Association Management Specialist (AMS) since January 2008.

Mrs. Colson is a Board Member and President-Elect for the Virginia Resort Development Association (VRDA) which promotes and encourages high ethical standards and enhancement of general knowledge in all areas of the recreational land industry including timeshares, campgrounds, lot sales, and travel club and is also Board Member of the Virginia Beach Hotel/Motel Association.  Michele is a 2009 graduate and serves on the Alumni Counsel of Lead Hampton Roads (LHR), a ten month Leadership Training Program focusing on issues impacting the Hampton Roads region.  Michele also volunteers for the local chapter of Junior Achievement delivering economic education classes to the students of Hampton Roads and the Food Bank of Hampton Roads.

Mrs. Colson resides in Virginia Beach with her husband, Barry who recently retired as a Master Chief from the United States Navy after a 30-year military career.  Outside of her professional pursuits, she enjoys traveling with her friends and family and playing golf.



Carl Gress,

Emergency Services Coordinator

VSA Association Management, LLC


As the Emergency Services Coordinator for VSA Association Management, Carl Gress began his career at VSA Management Corp. in 1994 as Engineering Supervisor. In 2000, Mr. Gress was promoted to Director of Engineering and Construction, and in 2006 he was promoted to Director of Operations.

Mr. Gress graduated from Penn State University in 1978, with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree. His entire professional career has centered on manufacturing, construction, building maintenance and property management. Mr. Gress takes great pride in his planning, scheduling, and negotiation skills. He has built a dedicated, loyal and trustworthy team of local contractors and vendors and has created the environment and systems to enhance communities with sustainability efforts and ADA compliance. 

Mr. Gress is also adept at working with CAD, reading blueprints, is Mold and Mildew Remediation Certified, Universal HVAC Certified, Pool Certified, and Effective Project Management Certified.  Mr. Gress resides in Virginia Beach and enjoys fitness, following professional and collegiate sports, especially Pennsylvania teams and volunteers for the Food Bank of Hampton Roads.



Chris Hassell

Assistant Community Manager

Chris Hassell is a native of the Tidewater area, graduating from Floyd E. Kellam High School in 1980. Chris has worked in property management most of his adulthood. He has worked as everything from a groundskeeper to property manager. He has been certified as a Registered Apartment Manager (RAM), Assisted Housing Manager (AHM) as well as been a licensed real estate agent.
